The Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) is replacing the PACT test. The PASS will be given to all students in grades 3-8 and will be administered in two phases.

PASS Testing Dates

    Phase I:  March 10-11           PASS Writing

    Phase II: May 12-22              PASS ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies

The PASS test is not timed.

As a parent, you can prepare your child for these test dates by following a few simple reminders:

• Have your child at school on testing days. Please do not schedule appointments for your child on these dates.
• Make sure your child is at school on time (7:50 A.M.---tardy bell).
• Make certain your child gets plenty of sleep each night.
• Provide a nutritious breakfast or remind your child to eat breakfast at school.
• Ensure that your child does not bring any electronic devices (cell phones, ipods, etc.) to school on testing days.
• Encourage your child to do his/her best without creating anxiety. Please do NOT have your child study for the test---"cramming" will not help.
